Welcome to the Ramkin Rattery

Ramkin Lady Susan Sto Helit (RE Siamese) X Redwall Devil in Disguise (Burmese Rex)

Expecting: Burmese, RE Siamese in rex. This litter is has a slight chance of dumbo.

Kittens were born 06/08/2009.

31/08/2009 Day 25:

These babies are so lovable, it is really going to be a wrench when they go to their new homes.

Group shots:

Gratuitous Single Shots:

Miss Siamese Rex 1:

Miss Siamese Rex 2:

Miss Siamese:

Miss Mink Burmese:

She still has a little bindi and some white toesies

Miss Burmese:

The star, Mr. Hairless-Recessive-Rex-Man:

I don't know what it is about him, but he still hasn't grown into his ears yet!

And finally, the usual comparison shots between my two girls:

One of these days I'll get a shot in natural light - the light here is too yellow to really see properly.

27/08/2008 Day 21:

The babies are 3 weeks old today, and absolutely stunning. The lone buck is still different, but we think he is recessive rex, so should hopefully retain his fur. He is the smallest, and his body temperature does feel warmer, but this can probably be attributed to not having as much fur as his sisters.

23/08/2009 Day 17:

The babies are at the first "mini rat" stage now. I always feel sad at this point, as they are not really babies anymore.

Miss Siamese:

Miss Siamese Rex 1:

You can see in the background there, Miss Siamese Rex 2 who is posing just like her mother does!

Miss Siamese Rex 2:

Miss Mink Burmese:

Miss Burmese:

She ALWAYS seems to want to look dopey when I point a camera at her!

And finally:

Mr Hairless (?) Man:

20/08/2009 Day 14

So the babies are two weeks old today, and they are still continuing to surprise me. It looks like the solo boy is recessive rex:

He cannot be double-rex, as his mother is not rex. It is unlikely he is hairless, but I am currently unsure as to what he will be.

Here are his sisters:

And the group shots with the others:

And finally, another comparison shot between the two Burmese girls:

17/08/2009 Day 11

Well tonight, Day 11 I have one obviously super advanced baby - she has PEEPERS!

And yes, it is my little surprise baby - who most definitely has Ruby eyes!

Look off she goes now she has eyes!

Gratuitious single shots:

Siamese Rex Girl 1:

Siamese Rex Girl 2:

Siamese Girl:

Siamese Rex Buck:

He still looks noticeably different to his sisters in colour bless him.

Miss Burmese:

Miss (possibly Mink possibly not) Burmese:

Really not flattering, but it does show her eye colour quite well.

And finally, here is a quick pic of the two Burmese girls together - now they look so similar - thank goodness for the ruby eyes and the bindi!

15/08/2009 Day 9:

Siamese Rex Buck:

He still doesn't seem to have fully come into his fur yet.

Siamese Rex Girl 1:

Siamese Rex Girl 2:

Siamese Girl:

Burmese Girl:

And yes, I just want to nom on her ickle white toesies

Mink Burmese Doe:

And here she is showing off her headspot:

These kittens are a joy - so big and porky.

13/08/2009 Day 7:

The babies are a week old now, and are now beginning to get their fur through. It does look like there were no dumbos this time. This will be a work in progress.

12/08/2009 Day 6:

As of tonight we now appear to have 2 shades of Siamese in here too. The little buck is the only kitten who has remained the colour I expected! Once they get fur I should have a clearer idea of what we have.

This proves, I think, that Mother Nature and genetics are fascinating.

One of the girls has decided that she would like to be a darker coloured baby now. This may mean that she is actually a Mink Burmese. Though unexpected, this would not be impossible as she has a mink Great Grandparent on each side of her pedigree.

11/08/2009 Day 5:

Siamese Girl 1:

Siamese Girl 2:

Siamese Girl 3:

Mr. Siamese Rex Man:

Miss Burmese:

Look at the white toesies!

Miss Mink (?) Burmese:

10/08/2009 Day 4

Pictures will be a little sporadic as I must take them while Susie is happy for me to do so.

It would appear that we have 5 girls and 1 boy.

The Girls:
  1. Ruby Eyed Siamese Rex
  2. Ruby Eyed Siamese Rex
  3. Ruby Eyed Siamese
  4. Ruby Eyed Siamese
  5. Burmese
The Boy:
  1. Ruby Eyed Siamese Rex

Susie is very anxious about these little loves, so not many pics yet.

It does look like I only have 1 baby that will be Burmese, and there may only be 1 boy. However, due to not wanting to stress Susie out too much I have only had a very brief handle and check of these babies.
