Welcome to the Ramkin Rattery

HKM Chelsea Raspbery X Redwall Terrence Edison

16 babies born on 03/03/2009

Day 1:

Sadly one baby was lost in the first 12 hours, but the remaining 15 continue to thrive.

Day 2:

All 15 continue to thrive, and we have our first indication that there may be some Roans/Huskies in the litter.

Day 3:

Initial attempts at sexing have been made. Believed to be 7 girls and 8 boys.

The Girls:

One little boy was mis-sexed here, and ended up being photographed with his sisters.

The Boys:

There should be 8 here, but only 7 due to the mistake made, so 7 brothers.

There are no pictures from Day 4, as real life commitments unfortunately got in the way of a photoshoot!

Day 5:

We have whiskers! This has meant I can give a rough estimate of the number of rex vs non-rex. Currently there seems to be 5 in each gender.

The Boys:

At the moment, I suspect we will have the following varieties:

  1. Siamese
  2. Siamese Rex
  3. Siamese Rex
  4. Siamese Rex
  5. Burmese
  6. Burmese Rex
  7. Burmese Rex Roan
  8. Siamese Roan

The Girls:

  1. Burmese Rex
  2. Burmese Rex
  3. Burmese Rex
  4. Siamese Rex
  5. Siamese Rex
  6. Siamese
  7. Burmese Roan

It is very unlikely that any of these babies will be dumbo, but this will not be confirmed for another few days. Any of the Siamese babies may prove to be Roan/Husky once their fur comes through.

Some of these babies may still be available. If you are interested in any of my kittens, please contact me.

Day 6

The pictures taken today have shown that one of the roans, the little girl, is also a Berkshire.

Group Shots:

Baby fuzz is now starting to show.

Day 8:

There are no pictures from Day 7 as the babies had their first clean out, and mommy was a little miffed at me for destroying her carefully crafted network of tunnels and escape routes.

The baby fuzz is now starting to properly show, and they are all velvety and soft.

And finally, a very bad shot of the boys:

You can see the fur properly now, the babies who will be rex are the ones who look like their fur needs ironing!

Day 16

Today we learned how to eat some soft solid foods.

Day 19

Today the babies learned to climb, and drink from the water bottle. They are now comfortable with trying to steal most food from mummy.
