Welcome to the Ramkin Rattery

About Ramkin Rats:

The Ramkin Rattery will be working towards breeding Burmese, Sable and Russian Blue Burmese Fancy Rats, with related colours. My lines will contain Dumbo and Rex, and there will usually be standard coated and top-eared babies available within any planned mating.

Currently I plan to keep the dumbo and rex in my lines, but this is subject to change at any time, as it depends on the available parents.

I am based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Ramkin Rattery is registered with the NFRS, although I have not yet achieved stud status. Therefore Ramkin is the name currently used to simply identify rats bred by me.

I will never have more litters than I can feasibly handle, play with and generally socialise on a daily basis. As a relatively new rattery I am still establishing my lines, and so I have planned a number of theoretical matings for late Spring/early Summer 2010, which may not all happen.

My rats are above all my own pets. I do not cull, and any kittens born who do not find good homes will remain here with me.

Update: 18/07/2010:

The Ramkin Rattery is pleased to announce the safe arrival of 6 beautiful kittens for Ramkin Romany and HKM Addie, and 11 beautiful kittens for Ramkin Willow and Ramkin Yumi. Pictures to follow.

Update: 15/07/2010:

After we sadly lost Ludmilla to pregnancy related complications, Ramkin Rattery took a break from breeding, however we have two litters hopefully arriving soon.

Please see the Planned Litters page for more information on potential upcoming litters.

Update: 03/03/2010: Ramkin Rattery is 1 today!

On 03/03/2009 HKM Chelsea Raspberry gave birth to 16 kittens, marking the beginning of our journey. Happy birthday to Ramkin Lady Susan Sto Helit, Ramkin Adorabelle Dearheart and their 13 siblings.
